Our Journey
Every business has a story, and ours started with a simple realization: many hardworking business owners were spending more time worrying about paperwork, bookkeeping, and taxes than focusing on the business. Private bookkeepers can cost you easily 40k per year, can make errors without industry knowledge, or simply not know the right questions to ask.
We built Fox Rocket with one goal in mind: to provide reliable accounting and tax support that business owners could truly depend on. Not just spreadsheets and filings, but real guidance, honest communication, and a long-term partner invested in helping businesses succeed.
Today, we proudly serve clients across Arkansas with excellent bookkeeping and, outsourced to our friends over at Murphy and Associates, payroll, tax preparation, and business support services designed to simplify operations and create peace of mind. Marlene Murphy, the owner of Murphy and Associates, is no slouch with 40+ years of experience and is local. Marlene and I are associates, and we love to garden, and both love our little dogs, chickens, goats, and whatever else the cat drags in. My Story:
Born and raised in Arkansas, I started Fox Rocket Accounting and Tax with a simple goal: helping small business owners get the financial support they need without the confusion, high costs, or corporate feel that often comes with accounting services. As an Eagle Scout (2016), I am a big outdoors enthusiast (when I get the time to go touch grass that is); but, more importantly my scouting experience compelled me to be a more prepared person and put me into situations that seemed insurmountable, forcing me to innovate and overcome. It also built a foundation of helpfulness, courteousness, and trustworthiness, so trust and satisfaction among my clientele and I is quite high.
Personally I love to hike, camp, and garden; I often go bowling and love the peace nature is able to bring me. My daily goal is to bring someone a bit of joy each day, if not at least doing a good turn daily. I tell you the truth, not what you want to hear, and can be quite blunt at times; I am a very lax person, but when it comes to business matters, I will tell you like it is - people's livelihoods depend on it!
That is a little about myself; I hope you are able to empathize with my interests, goals, and can appreciate that I love to help our small businesses owners, start their endeavors with confidence. I’ve always believed the “small guy” deserves access to organized financials, clear reporting, and someone they can actually call when they have questions.
